Custom Copper and Sheet Metal Roofing (CCSMR) was built on generations of craftsmanship and a deep respect for architectural metalwork. Founder Chris Dumm and his brother Andrew Dumm were raised in the tradition of custom sheet metal fabrication under the mentorship of their grandfather, where they learned that exceptional roofing is both an art and a science. Today, Chris leads the company with a focus on vision, leadership, and client collaboration, guiding projects from concept to completion while maintaining the culture of precision and integrity that defines CCSMR.

A defining strength of the company is Andrew’s role as principal designer and technical architect behind many of CCSMR’s most complex projects. Through advanced drafting, creative problem-solving, and deep construction knowledge, Andy transforms ambitious design ideas into precise installation strategies that allow the field teams to succeed. His intricate drawings and thoughtful planning make it possible to execute highly ornate copper and zinc systems with clarity and confidence, bridging the gap between architectural vision and real-world craftsmanship.

Equally foundational to CCSMR’s identity is master craftsman René Lopez Hernandez, whose artistry has shaped the company since its earliest days. Having worked alongside Chris during formative years of ornate copper fabrication in San Francisco, René helped carry forward a tradition of meticulous detail and innovation. Over nearly two decades, he has developed advanced installation techniques, mentored apprentices, and led one of CCSMR’s installation teams — ensuring that every project reflects the artisan level quality clients have come to expect.

Supporting the craftsmanship and design leadership is Greg Anderson, Head of Sales and Lead Estimator, whose background in luxury markets helped establish CCSMR’s presence within the Bay Area’s high-end construction community. From early branding and photography to client consultations and precision estimating, Greg has played a vital role in building the company’s reputation and guiding clients through complex custom projects with clarity and transparency. His work, including contributions to the California State License Board’s sheet metal licensing exam, reflects a commitment to elevating both CCSMR and the industry as a whole.

Chris Dumm founded Custom Copper and Sheet Metal Roofing, Inc. to bring his expert knowledge in metal fabrication learnt from his grandfather to the San Francisco Bay Area. Chris works day to day as the project manager, ensuring each project is completed masterfully and in accordance with CCSMR standards.

Experience:
Chris earned his experience from working in his grandfather's sheet metal fabrication business starting at just 11 years old. He learned primarily from hands-on experience, taking on roles in production, installation and design, where he fabricated customs panels, flashing and architectural details. He eventually took on roles in sales and project management, which allowed him to learn all aspects of the trade.

Experience:
A veteran of the industry, Andrew has been a cornerstone of Custom Copper and Sheet Metal Roofing, Inc. for over thirteen years. His expertise is backed by formal training, including three Architectural Drafting Certificates from Sierra College. Additionally, Andrew completed an internship for BFS Landscape Architects, further broadening his experience in architectural design.
Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife, two kids, and English bulldog. For a creative outlet, he is an avid hobbyist who enjoys playing tabletop games and painting intricate miniature figurines.
Greg Anderson
Sales & Estimator

As head of sales and lead estimator, Greg guides clients from initial consultation and pricing to full project estimation. With his impressive background in high value markets, Greg ensures a transparent and positive customer experience from concept to installation commencement.

Experience:
Originally from Eastern Washington, Greg spent 10 years in Mexico City where he received a degree in international business & marketing. He began his career in luxury brand management at Les Must de Cartier before leaving to help build CCSMR. Demonstrating a robust career, Greg is also a former EMT, USFS Wild land Firefighter, is a DSHS certified medical interpreter and is 100% fluent in Spanish.
Greg is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting, hiking, and being in the woods. A lifelong basketball player and former high school athlete, he continues to compete in 3x3 tournaments today. He also likes old trucks.
